Hotel Metlen - Dillon MT Real Haunted Places

  • 5 S Railroad Ave.
  • Dillon, MT
This historic hotel dates back to 1897 when it was built by Joseph C. Metlen. In 1983, the hotel was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The two-story building had been a former saloon and luxury hotel for travelers on the railroad across Montana.

Hotel Metlen is believed to be quite haunted - especially in Room #19 and the downstairs bar area. A floating female apparition in a white dress has been spotted in these locations, and she is said to be nice to those she comes in contact with. In the back bar, a woman in a black bonnet has been seen, along with the apparition of a man in a cowboy hat.

Other paranormal reports at this hotel include strange voices and the smell of cigar smoke on the third floor when no one is around.
